Folded or flat?

Folded card: the front design and a short note on the back print on one side of a landscape sheet. Your greeting prints on the inside page. If your printer prints on both sides, choose two-sided printing and flip on short edge, then fold the sheet in half. Small marks at the top and bottom edge show where to fold. Single-sided printer? Print the first page only and write your message inside by hand.

Flat cards: two identical cards print on one portrait sheet. Cut along the dashed line. Flat cards work well tucked into gift bags, attached to cookie tins, or mailed in a standard envelope.

Designs

Choose a decorated Christmas tree, hanging ornaments, snowflakes or a minimal gold star. All artwork was drawn for this site. The accent color changes the headline and design details, so you can match your wrapping paper or family colors.

Adding a photo

Upload a PNG or JPEG up to 2 MB, and it replaces the illustration on the front. The photo is read in your browser and placed into the PDF on your device. It isn’t uploaded to this website. Photos with even lighting and a little space around the subject print best.

Writing your greeting

Short messages read best on a card. If your greeting is long, the text size steps down automatically so it fits. If it still doesn’t fit, the generator asks you to shorten it rather than cutting off words. A few ideas:

• “Wishing you peace, joy and plenty of cookies this Christmas.”
• “Thank you for a wonderful year. Merry Christmas from all of us!”
• “May your holidays be merry, bright and full of good company.”

Paper and printing

• Card stock (65-110 lb / 176-300 gsm) gives a sturdier card; regular paper is fine for a test print.
• Print at Actual size / 100% and turn off borderless or fit-to-page options.
• Score the fold line with a ruler and an empty pen for a crisp fold.

Can I use other languages?

This version supports English letters, numbers and common punctuation, including curly quotes and dashes from your phone keyboard.

What size is the folded card?

On US Letter, the finished card is 5.5 × 8.5 inches. On A4, it is A5 (148 × 210 mm).
