Make a word search for your class
A short, focused word list makes a better starting point than a crowded puzzle. Choose familiar vocabulary, then match the grid size and direction settings to the learner.
Start with one topic
Try a fruit, animal or classroom-word list. Enter one word per line, using English letters without spaces. Choose a grid that is at least as wide as the longest word.
Choose the challenge
Easy puzzles use horizontal and vertical directions. Medium adds diagonals. Hard adds reverse directions. Changing the random seed produces another reproducible arrangement.
Review and print
Generate the puzzle and review both the student page and highlighted answer key. Keep the answer sheet separate when handing out copies. If the words do not fit, increase the grid or shorten the list.
